Setting up a GL.iNet (ZM.1) is fairly straight forward when using the Minim App. The instructions below will mirror the actions you will take in the app.
What You Will Need
- GL.iNet B1300 (ZM.1)
- Modem or incoming internet connection
- Ethernet cable
- Mobile phone - iPhone or Android

Create a Minim account
To begin, download the Minim App. Download links to the app can be found here or you can ask your service provider for mobile user access.
Once downloaded, launch the app. First, you will be taken to the sign in page. Tap on the Create Account button. The page will redirect to the Create my account page. Enter the email address you would like to associate with the account and a password.
Please note, signing in with an existing account will not allow you to set up the new GL.iNet (ZM.1) router. You will need to sign-in with a new account that has not be associated with a router before.

Before tapping 'create account', you will be directed to confirm your age and review the Terms and conditions and privacy policy pages. Once they have been reviewed, tap on the white square button which will turn blue when toggled.

Add the router to the account
Now that your account has been set up, let's add the router to your account. You will see the below page. Tap the Get started button to begin.

Each GL.iNet (ZM.1) router will have a QR code on the bottom of it. First, tap on the Set up a new device button. Next, tap on the Found the QR code button. On the following screen, tap on the Scan device QR Code button. The camera on your phone should be made available and allow you to quickly scan the QR code.

The app will direct you to perform a series of actions to bring your new router online. Follow the prompts on your screen. Once you have completed each step, tap on the Next button at the bottom of the screen.

After you tap the I see the light button, you will be directed to a page with a cloud exchanging dots with the a GL.iNet (ZM.1). Minim is connecting to your router. Once the connection has completed successfully, you will see a GL.iNet (ZM.1) with a green checkmark. Tap the Next button to continue.
Please note, if you see a GL.iNet (ZM.1) with a red X instead of a green checkmark, try the process again. We recommend checking the connection between the modem and the GL.iNet (ZM.1). If you are still not receiving the GL.iNet (ZM.1) with a green checkmark, please connect our Customer Success team so we can help by emailing support@minim.com or clicking on the chat bubble in the corner of this page.

The next screen will give you the opportunity to customize the SSID broadcasted and the password used to log onto the WiFi. Tap the Confirm button to continue after entering the information in these fields. If you would prefer to not set a new SSID and password, you can tap on the Use Defaults button to use the same SSID and password found on the bottom of the router.

The next screen will give the option to set up an extender. If you purchased more than one GL.iNet (ZM.1) router, you can set up the additional units as wireless mesh extenders that will help distribute the WiFi throughout your home. To learn more about how to set up an extender, please continue HERE. Tap on the Done with setup to complete the process.

Congratulations! You've successfully set up your new GL.iNet (ZM.1). You will be provided a copy of your network SSID and password. You will be able to view this information again in the app. You can take this opportunity to connect the devices in your home to the new WiFi.

The next page will display a notification bar as Minim scans your network, once completed the notification will disappear and you'll be on the main page of your network. You have finished the setup process!

Setting up 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (Optional)
The GL.iNet (ZM.1) provides users the ability to select the band they would like their new router to use when broadcasting the SSID. To customize this feature, select the network name, or SSID. Next, select the three dots on the top right of the network overview page. You'll see toggles for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (as shown in the images below). Depending on your network needs, you can choose both or the best one for your network.
